Dave Perewitz Biography

Shedding Light on the Beginning

I started out as a teenager hanging around the local body and repair shops. My first bike was a Sportster. This was in the late '60s. I wanted my motorcycle to be different than the few that were around town. I started to customize it in my father's shed. That's where it all began!

After painting that Sportster several times, I started to paint bikes for friends, then friends of friends and before I knew it I was getting paid to work on motorcycles. I loved what I was doing. The more I got involved in the motorcycle industry, which was very small at the time, the more I made a bond with the people and the sport.

Now, some 35 years later, I still love what I am doing—building and customizing motorcycles. I eventually moved out of that shed and have moved 3 times since then. With each move the location gets bigger and bigger.

When motorcycle TV shows started to make custom designed bikes more popular, I had to adjust with the times. I opened a state-of-the-art facility that houses every aspect of our business. Our customer base has grown tremendously since opening the new shop. We host Bike Nights in the summer that can attract 1,000 bikes! It's a great place for riders to show off their two-wheelers, trade stories and have motorcycle-geared fun.
