Allstate Rider News: P'witz's Pit Stop

P'WITZ'S PIT STOP
a one-of-a-kind column

The Allstate BikeThe Allstate Bike

The Allstate bike was different because we were dealing with a corporation; normally, we build custom motorcycles for individuals. I thought a good fit might be this new chassis that Leroy Thompson Choppers (LTC) was making—short, low and easy to ride.

Jeff (our part guy) did a rendering of the bobber and, once we received the chassis, mock-up began.

The power behind the Allstate motorcycle is an 80” Engine with an Evolution top end and Panhead bottom end built by TP Engineering. The transmission is a Baker 6 into 4 and the Primary is from Evil Engineering.

The bike has 23” front and rear wheels, perimeter brakes with Brembo calipers. The front end has an internal brake line, giving it a clean look, and its 23” wheels are very unique. The bobber has Magura levers with Todd's Cycle custom reservoir on the Magura Levers.

The bike features a one-off exhaust system with an M4 Exhaust Can normally used on sport bikes. (Kory thought this would give the bike a sportier look while being functional.)

This “bobbah” is very unique not only to the Perewitz style but also to the motorcycle world…and it could be yours! Enter for a chance to win at http://www.allstategarage.com.

What Dave’s Doing this Summer

As summer approaches, the Perewitz crew is just back from the Laughlin River Run Custom Bike Show (where extreme customs ruled the roost!) and preparing for our busy season, which includes two major trips: Laconia and Sturgis. Then we’ll head to Indianapolis in late July for the Allstate® 400 at the Brickyard®.

Join us in our jam-packed parking lot for Perewitz Bike Nights every third Wednesday from 6–9 p.m., June through September. Enjoy local vendors, music, food and more!

Jody Perewitz Says: It’s A Family Thing
(This month, hear what Jody has to say about riding.)

I’d like to say I remember my first ride, but motorcycles have always been part of the Perewitz life. I began riding dirt bikes and four wheelers at a young age.

And, over the years, working at a motorcycle shop has allowed me to ride many bikes.  My favorite type of bike is the bobber.  So it should come as no surprise when I say the new Allstate bobber looks like a really cool ride.

Here at Perewitz, I handle marketing—everything from working in our showroom, to managing Web sites, to attending events. Although I don’t design motorcycles, I enjoy spending time in our service area, learning as much as I can.

What can I say? It’s a family thing!
